Simple search

Capture 3

This interface allows you to define the criteria for your search.

1- Use the drop-down list to select the attribute you want to search.

"All attributes" will search on all available attributes. The search will take into account all terms entered in the field, using the "AND" combination (term1 AND term2). The search will find the term you entered, or other words that contain the term (example: "curve" will find "curve", "curves", "curved", etc.).

2- The "keyword" field allows you to search for keywords associated with the bibliographic data

(click "list" to display a list of possible keywords). These keywords also allow you to obtain results with synonyms of the keyword(s) you enter.

3- This zone allows you to specify the domain of the search. Use these filter elements to restrict the items that will be searched.

4- These two buttons are used to perform the search and display the results ("Search") or clear the entry fields to start a new search ("Clear").

Capture 4

This interface allows you to search on a combination of up to 3 criteria, and display results that correspond to the combination of criteria.

1- This zone allows you to select the attribute to search (drop-down list), a combination method and free-form text.

The way you input the text determines how it will be interpreted for the search. The search will find the keyword you entered, or other words that contain the keyword (example: "curve" will find "curve", "curves", "curved", etc.).
The "List" link will help you to enter the search keywords corresponding to the attribute you selected. Enter your keyword (completely or partially) to obtain the syntax to use in the search field.

2- In this zone, indicate how you wish to combine the criteria and keywords.

3- This zone allows you to specify the domain of the search. Use these filter elements to restrict the items that will be searched.

4- These two buttons are used to perform the search and display the results ("Search") or clear the entry fields to start a new search ("Clear").
