Simple search

Capture 1

This interface allows you to define the criteria for your search.

1 - Choose the attributes to be searched.

You can search all attributes, or select one from the list. A search on all the attributes is carried out on all the search keywords independently (keyword1 OR keyword2).

Searching can be done on specific attributes (Author, Title/Designation, Inventory code, Location, Creation date).

2- This field allows you to enter the search keywords in free format.

The way you input the keywords determines how they will be interpreted for the search:

Enter a single keyword. The search will find the keyword you entered, or other words that contain the keyword (example: "curve" will find "curve", "curves", "curved", etc.).

Enter a keyword with "?". This "wild card" approach allows you to search for a keyword when you are not sure of the spelling (example: Bru?as will find results including Bruyas, brulas, etc.).

The "List" link will help you to enter the search keywords corresponding to the attribute you selected. Enter your keyword (completely or partially) to obtain the syntax to use in the search field.

3- Check this box to if you only want to view results that include an image of the work.

4- These two buttons are used to perform the search and display the results ("Search") or clear the entry fields to start a new search ("Clear").
