23 October 2008 - 24 January 2009
On the occasion of the exhibition ‘Vidéo, un art, une histoire (1965-2007)” (Video, an art, a history 1965-2007) Montpellier Agglomeration unveils an exceptional programme in its cultural establishments, as well as with external partners, in order to reach as many people as possible and to create a veritable ‘Video Autumn’ throughout the entire agglomeration.
The Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, the Centre Chorégraphique National de Montpellier (dance), the Centre Dramatique National, the théâtre des 13 vents, the musée archéologique in Lattes, the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional (music, dance, theatre), the network of mediatheques and the Galilée planetarium all unite to offer exhibitions, artists’ residencies, evening events, meetings and conferences.
Elsewhere the TAM, the transport organisation for Montpellier Agglomeration, also participates in this event by transforming the tramway screens into veritable video broadcast channels.
On the initiative of the Fondation d’entreprises du musée Fabre, shops in the historic centre of Montpellier offer nocturnal broadcasts in their windows, enabling them to actively participate in this major event.
The Rencontres annuelles d’éducation à l'image (annual meetings linking education and image), organised by the CDDP of the Hérault-Languedoc Roussillon Cinema offer workshops specifically aimed at teachers.
And finally, the network of associative and private galleries also offers an ‘Off’ in keeping with the exhibition.
