An exhibition of instruments made by the luthier Antonio Stradivarius (1644-1737) is organized this summer by the musée Fabre.
The musée Fabre of the Montpellier Agglomération, the Radio France – Montpellier Languedoc-Roussillon Festival and the International Music Academy of Montpellier organize, with the Montpellier Agglomération supports, the city of Montpellier, the Tourism Office, and the Région Languedoc-Roussillon, an exhibition of fifteen instruments made by the luthier Antonio Stradivarius : ten violins, two violas, three cellos made between 1689-1730 coming from France, England, Norway, Taiwan and Japan.
During the opening night of the Radio France – Montpellier Languedoc-Roussillon Festival, a bacchanalia will be interpretated by the National Orchestra of Montpellier which will have the chance to play with twenty Stradivarius, for the first time in France.
Another concerts of virtuosos playing with Stradivarius instruments and activities will be also in the program of this exceptional event.
