A few examples of last years

The last twenty years, many societies have helped the museum by financing or taking part to acquisitions or restorations of artworks.

-The monographic catalogue on François-xavier Fabre, published for the retrospective François-Xavier Fabre, peintre et fondateur du musée (François-Xavier Fabre, painter and founder of the museum), is supported by the Fondation Auguste Morin (to be published).

- In 2007, society Rambier Immobilier has supported with 10,000 euros the acquisition of the Portrait of young Edgar Clarke by François-Xavier Fabre.

The bank Courtois supports with the same amount the event exhibition of this summer, Gustave Courbet, which comes to Montpellier after Paris and New York City.

- In 2004 and 2006, Linea d'Ombra has offered the musée Fabre two artworks of 19th Century: Supposed Portrait of Marguerite Carrière by Eugène Carrière and The Angel and the Child by Octave Tassaert, which can also be seen inside the painting The Painter's Studio still by Tassaert, an intimate of Bruyas.

- For the exhibition De Rafael à Degas, pintura, dibujo y escultura del museo Fabre de Montpellier, which was held in Madrid and Bilbao in 2005, the Spanish bank BBVA has offered the museum a sketch by François-Xavier Fabre, Ulysses and Neoptolemus taking Heracles' arrows off Philoctetes.

- In 1996, the association fo the Amis du musée Fabre took part at 10% to the acquisition of the sculpture The Bat by Germain Richier (around 90,000 euros).

- The bank BNP-Paribas financed the restoration of The Descent from the Cross by Pieter de Kempeneer. It allowed the rediscovery of this masterpiece of the Flemish Renaissance.
